LucyLucy Askin
Women's Ministries Leader

Lucy has always had a heart for women's ministries, feeling the necessity for women to become better acquainted with each other in a fellowship format, incorporating a bit of fun and, always, a thought-provoking look into the Scriptures. Knowing what women enjoy, she, and her capable team, see to it that the venue for meetings is decorated in themes that bring delight to the eyes and hearts of women. Lucy has a passion for sewing any time she can. She turns out quilts of all sizes, baby and children's clothing and many other items. Time is precious though as she and her husband have four grown children, 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

AaronAaron Bauer
Music Director

Aaron and his wife, Jodi, and their five children have been attending WEBC since November 2016. Aaron has been involved in church music since he was a child. He graduated from Moody bible Institute's five-year sacred music program in 2001. He has a Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance Emphasis) from MBI. Aaron enjoys playing with his kids, being together with his family, and sports of all kinds (playing, watching, and coaching).

JoanJoan Franzen
KidVenture Leader

Joan has a degree in teaching and is currently working part-time as a job coach in Elgin school District U-46. In the past, she has worked in a variety of children’s ministries, including Sunday School, AWANA, and Vacation Bible School. She enjoys helping children study God’s Word and having fun times of fellowship. During her free time she enjoys reading, playing golf, and being with her husband and grandchildren.

JoanMatt and Anne Rieger
Youth Leaders

Matt and Anne live in west St. Charles with their four children. Matt works for Johnson Controls Inc. in Geneva, and Anne stays home to homeschool their children. Both enjoy doing projects for their “fixer upper” home, baking, and bike riding as a family. Matt also builds furniture and plays guitar in the worship service. They have been attending WEBC since November 2015 and are excited to be attending a church with both sets of their parents! They have enjoyed getting involved in the Wednesday night Bible studies and serving at WEBC in other areas. They are thankful to have found a church where truth is not compromised and God’s Word is preached and practiced. They are excited for the future of WEBC!
