Jayson York, Senior Pastor

Pastor JaysonJayson grew up in Granite City, IL, just across the river from St. Louis, MO. He is married to Lindsay, whom he met and dated while they both attended Judson College in Elgin, IL. They were married in 1999, and they have three children: Noah, Amanda, and Jacob.

After a successful 10-year career in orthopedic sales, Jayson and his family moved to the Dominican Republic in 2010, where he served as a ministry coordinator and staff pastor, as well as preaching regularly in a local church. After returning to the US, Jayson came to WEBC and began his ministry here at the beginning of 2014.

Jayson loves people and getting to know them personally. His office door is almost always open to visitors during the week, and he loves to see people grow in their faith through relationships and through personal study. But Jayson also believes that the most important ministry he has is the preaching of God’s word and its truth. In the model of the great preachers of the past, Jayson desires to see the church edified each week through the faithful exposition of scripture, following books of the Bible one verse at a time.

If you don't find Jayson in his office, he is probably with his wife and kids, playing one of his guitars, or watching his beloved St. Louis Cardinals.

JimJim Bejrowski, Elder

Jim grew up a Roman Catholic in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. He is married to Sue whom he met while in school at the University of Illinois in Champaign. They were married in 1968 and have two married daughters and eight grandchildren. In 1977 Jim moved his family to Florida to pursue earthly riches. At the same time he was reading the Bible for the first time and while being astonished at what he was learning he needed “a Philip” to guide his new understanding. God had sovereignly moved him to Florida to meet his “Philip” who told him the good news about Jesus (Acts 8:30-35) and the one true gospel (Galatians 1:6-9) and led him to a saving faith in Christ at age 29. While seeking after temporal earthly riches, God graciously revealed to him far superior eternal heavenly riches in Christ! As a result of this grace, Jim ‘s desire is to be a “Philip” to both believers and unbelievers and appreciates every opportunity to serve in the local church and at Wayside Cross Rescue Mission in Aurora. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves to read both indoors and outdoors. His favorite contemporary authors are John MacArthur and Jay Adams.
